Activated Carbon Injection System
The activated carbon injection system utilizes a Venturi-based design to efficiently deliver powdered activated carbon into the flue gas stream.
Compressed air or a fan generates a high-velocity airflow, creating a negative pressure zone within the injector. Activated carbon is entrained into the pipeline and discharged through the diffuser section, allowing it to be conveyed over a defined distance and height within the duct.
Once injected, the activated carbon is evenly distributed across the flue gas cross-section. This ensures optimal contact between the carbon particles and the gas stream, enabling effective adsorption and chemical interaction.
Application Principle
Activated carbon adsorption is one of the most effective methods for multi-pollutant control in flue gas treatment.
It enables the simultaneous removal of a wide range of contaminants, including:
- Sulfur dioxide (SO₂)
- Nitrogen oxides (NOx)
- Particulate matter
- Mercury
- Dioxins and furans
- Heavy metals
- Volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
- Trace hazardous elements
System Advantages
- Cost-effective solution with low investment and operating costs
- Energy-efficient operation
- PLC-based control system for simple and reliable operation
- Low equipment and pipeline wear, ensuring long service life
- Flexible system configuration to suit various process layouts
- Minimal air quality requirements, eliminating the need for additional air treatment systems
